1. Acceptance of Terms & Governance
By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the official digital platforms of the Ethiopian Travel Agents Association (ETAA) at https://www.etaa.et, registering as an accredited member, submitting trade documents, or purchasing event passes, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable Ethiopian commercial travel regulations.
If you do not agree to these terms or fail to meet accredited travel agent qualifications, you must refrain from accessing member-only services or requesting public directory accreditation.
2. Accredited Membership Eligibility
Membership and directory accreditation in ETAA are governed under defined subcategories:
- IATA Go standard: Accredited travel agencies maintaining full IATA standard ticketing credentials and active trade licenses.
- IATA Go lite: Travel agencies accredited under IATA Go lite ticketing models.
- IATA Easy pay: Accredited travel agencies utilizing Easy pay settlement models.
- Non-IATA & Associate Members: Licensed travel agencies and local travel service providers operating in Ethiopia.
- Corporate Partners: Airlines, hotel chains, GDS technology providers, insurance partners, and official travel trade sponsors.
Members must maintain a valid Ethiopian business trade license and fulfill annual membership dues to retain active directory status.
3. Event Registrations & Payment Terms
Terms governing official ETAA conventions, summits, and trade expos:
- Member Only Qualification: Registration for paid or complimentary ETAA trade events is strictly reserved for verified accredited ETAA members in good standing.
- Online Payments via Chapa (ETB): Online payments are processed via Chapa Financial Technologies (ETB currency). Successful checkout grants a digital Ticket Pass ID.
- Non-Transferability: Issued event tickets and registration passes belong strictly to the registered attendee and agency and cannot be transferred without written ETAA secretariat authorization.
4. Professional Code of Conduct
All ETAA accredited travel agents agree to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, including:
- Providing accurate, transparent, and fair pricing to domestic and international travelers.
- Honoring sustainable travel practices and adhering to civil aviation rules and airline ticketer guidelines.
- Refraining from unauthorized, fraudulent, or deceptive commercial operations. Violation may result in immediate directory suspension by the Executive Board.
5. Intellectual Property & Emblem Rights
All text, visual branding, ETAA logos, accreditation badges, digital seals, and directory software infrastructure published on etaa.et are the exclusive intellectual property of the Ethiopian Travel Agents Association.
Members are granted a non-exclusive right to display the ETAA Accredited Member logo on their official website and marketing collateral while their membership remains active.
6. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any legal action or dispute arising from membership, directory accreditation, or event participation shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
